Research Intensive Summer Experience (RISE) at Rutgers
Paola Garay Martis was awarded top presenter prize at the 2023 national ABRCMS meeting. She presented her research findings on iron ion homeostasis in the bacterial pathogen staphylococcus aureus. Paola was a RISE at Rutgers summer student in the Boyd lab. Paula is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and looking to attend graduate school in 2024.
