Teaching Assistant Orientation
The Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy (TIIP) invites all new teaching assistants to participate in the virtual as well as onsite orientation events. New TAs should have been emailed the instructions for accessing the Canvas sites by TIIP and new TAs are encouraged to complete all the modules on Canvas prior to the start of classes. Canvas sites will be active in early August. Onsite orientation will take place at the end of August.

If you are a faculty or staff member and wish to view the New TA Orientation modules on Canvas, please submit your NET ID, name, and title to GradTeaching@rutgers.edu and you will receive access to the orientation page.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
There will be a mandatory orientation to give you details about immigration issues and maintaining status. It is mandatory that you check in with the International Services Office 10 days after your arrival at Rutgers. The office of International Services will provide you with information on obtaining an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) on the day of their orientation.
