iJOBS
Event Description
If you want to learn cutting edge tools used in biopharma industry projects, this workshop is for you! The “Gantt chart” is a critical component of a project manager’s (PM’s) “toolbox”. The Gantt chart provides a visual representation of the project’s duration (timeline) based on its tasks and their inter-dependencies, deliverables deadlines and more. In this 90-minute interactive workshop, Claudia Campbell-Matland, PMP (Chairperson of Project Management Institute’s NJ Chapter’s Life Sciences “Local Community of Interest”) will review and demonstrate a few popular software tools used to create Gantt charts and project timelines, e.g., Microsoft Project (traditional scheduling tool used across all industries), Smartsheet (up & coming scheduling tool) and the Office Timeline plug-in for PowerPoint (a recent tool for creating graphical high-level timelines). A breakout session will allow you to practice with one or more of these tools. Click here to see slides.
