Career Exploration and Success (CES) is committed to assisting students with making connections between their academic experience and career paths. We provide career-related advising, resources, and programs to help individuals discover their interests, values, and skills, explore careers and majors, develop skills through internships and experiential opportunities, and pursue their post-graduate goals.
This free online career exploration and planning tool gives PhD students and postdoctoral scholars in the humanities and social sciences an easy way to assess their career-related skills, interests, and values, explore career paths, define goals, and map out next steps.
The Rutgers University iJOBS Program, funded by the National Institutes of Health, exposes life science PhD students and postdocs to a range of non-academic career options and empowers them to pursue their career goals.
Individual Development Plans (IDPs) are personalized mentoring and professional development tools to facilitate graduate students’ goal-setting, professional planning, and communication with mentors.
