Nafziger-White-Salwen Dissertation Award

AAG International Geographic Information Fund Graduate Research Award

The Association of American Geographers will award one or more small grants of up to $500 to support graduate research proposed by a student in any area of spatial analysis or geographic information science or systems. The award(s) will be presented at the AAG Annual Meeting.

Robert J. McNamara Student Award

The McNamara award in the amount of $500 is given annually by the Association for the Sociology of Religion to recognize an outstanding student paper in the sociology of religion.

AAA/Grant Thornton Doctoral Dissertation Awards for Innovation in Accounting Education

This is a $5,000 prize for Innovative contributions to accounting education. Nominations include a letter from your advisor outline the innovation inherent in granting the award, and a statement from the student describing their research purpose and dissertation status.

Allan Nevins Prize in American Economic History

The Allan Nevins Prize in American Economic History is awarded annually by the Economic History Association on behalf of Columbia University Press for the best dissertation in U.S. or Canadian economic history completed during the previous year. Awarded at the Association’s annual meeting.

Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Awards

The Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Awards are given in recognition of development of professional excellence by persons writing doctoral dissertations in any field consistent with the AAEA Vision Statement. AAC Institute Student Clinical Research Paper Awards

This award provides either a $400 or $200 prize for a paper in speech-language pathology. and related professions to address issues related to AAC evidence-based practice and submit papers for presentation at the annual CAAC Conference.

Judith Holm Memorial Awards

These cash prizes are awarded to final-year students in social-work master’s programs who write the best papers demonstrating their mastery of the essentials of clinical social work and readiness to enter professional practice.

Osman Award

Cash prizes of $1,500 are awarded to first-year students in social-work master’s programs based on the judging of a paper that recounts the process of a clinical intervention.

Jay S. Drotman Memorial Award

The Jay S. Drotman Memorial Award was established to recognize the career of a promising young public health professional or student.
