Marilyn Blatt Young Dissertation Completion Fellowship

This $25,000 fellowship supports the completion of a dissertation on a topic in the field of U.S. foreign relations history or international history, broadly defined. Applicants must be current SHARF members.

F. J. McGuigan Dissertation Award

This $2,000 award supports dissertation research that addresses any aspect of mental function (e.g., cognition, affect, motivation) and seeks to understand the mind from both a behavioral and neural perspective.

Minority Dissertation Fellowship Program

This program is intended to encourage members of ethnic minorities to complete doctoral degrees in anthropology, thereby increasing diversity in the discipline and/or promoting research on issues of concern among minority populations. Outstanding Auditing Dissertation Award

The author of the dissertation judged to make the most outstanding contribution to auditing knowledge among those dissertations nominated for consideration, in addition to the recipient’s dissertation chair, will receive the award.

Mellon-CES Dissertation Completion Fellowship

Mellon-CES Dissertation Completion Fellowship provides a $25,000 stipend for doctoral candidates working on humanities topics in European Studies. Applicants must be able to demonstrate they will will complete their dissertation during the fellowship year.

Dissertation Fellowship

This $10,000 fellowship supports students in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study. Awards are for 12 months of dissertation writing. All pre-dissertation requirements should be met by the application deadline, including approval of the dissertation proposal.

National Fellowship

The Jefferson Scholars Foundation encourages applicants from a broad range of disciplines with the potential to shed new light upon contemporary developments in American politics, foreign policy, and America and the World.
