As a pre dissertation student, we can assist you with identifying and applying for funding to support the coursework and pilot research phase of your degree.  Your options may include predissertation research grants, early career, multi-year fellowships and scholarships to support language training.  This is also a good time to begin to plan out funding for your dissertation research.

Fellowships at this stage will typically provide multiple years of support which will include a generous stipend and cost of education allowance.  Research grants may be modest but will be important sources of support for pre dissertation research and training activities.

Carefully research your eligibility to apply before you craft your application materials.  If the award’s website and other documents don’t bring you clarity, contact the program officer.  Some programs at the pre dissertation stage may require that the applicant is a US citizen or permanent resident.
