NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Program

This grant supports the development of exploratory and developmental research projects by providing funding for the early and conceptual stages of research. This award is meant to encourage the risk-taking that can lead to breakthroughs that will have major impacts on NIH research fields.

The National Center for Health Statistics Postdoctoral Research Program

The objective of the NCHS Postdoctoral Research Program is to provide opportunities for postdoctoral candidates to conduct research in areas including statistical theory, survey methodology, statistical computing, economics, demography, and social and behavioral science.

Graduate Partnerships Program

A doctoral fellowship training program coordinates training and funding for PhD students attending a school of nursing. The program combines the academic environment of a university and the breadth and depth of research at the National Institutes of Health.

Patient Experience Grant and Scholar Program

The Beryl Institute Scholar program supports 1-2 Professional Doctoral Students as they conduct research associated with the patient experience. Candidates come from across the Healthcare educational spectrum from Nursing to Healthcare Administration.

SOPHE 21st Century Scholarships

These scholarships support full-time graduate or undergraduate students who wish to attend the Society for Public Health Education Annual Meeting. Students must be sponsored by a faculty member in the student’s program.

Postdoctoral Training Awards

The Autism Science Foundation invites applications for its Postdoctoral Training Awards from graduate students interested in pursuing careers in basic and clinical research relevant to autism spectrum disorders.

Dissertation Fellowship

This $10,000 fellowship supports students in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study. Awards are for 12 months of dissertation writing. All pre-dissertation requirements should be met by the application deadline, including approval of the dissertation proposal.

Career Development Grant

The AAUW Career Development Grant (up to $12,000) is for women who, through additional higher education, technical training, or participation in professional development institutes, are making career changes, seeking to advance in current careers, or re‐entering the workforce.

Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program and NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program

The Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (CGS D) and NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (PGS D) provide financial support to scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering.

Doctoral Student Research Grant

ACSM Foundation Research Grants for doctoral students up to $5,000 for a one-year period.
