IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships for Training in Cancer Research

This program aims to support junior scientists (must have obtained their degree in the last five years) from any country who intend to pursue a career in cancer research and wish to complete their training at the IARC in Lyon, France working in a research group.

Doctoral Degree Scholarships in Cancer Nursing

Awarded to graduate students who are pursuing doctoral study in the field of cancer nursing research and preparing for careers as nurse scientists. Initial awards are made for up to 2 years with the possibility of a 2-year renewal. There is a stipend of $15,000 per year.

Lewis and Clark Fund for Field Exploration Research

This grant encourages exploratory field studies for the collection of specimens and data to provide the imaginative stimulus that accompanies direct observation. Applications from disciplines with a large dependence on field studies are invited, but applicants from all fields may apply.

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program is a distinguished transatlantic initiative that each year offers twenty accomplished young Americans the opportunity to complete a high-level professional development program in Germany.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Paris

The three-year postdoctoral fellowship program allows American citizens to work in a host laboratory at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France to study the basic science of improving global public health. Applicants should first identify a host lab from the 130 listed on the Institut Pasteur website.

Presidential Management Fellowship

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is a two-year opportunity intended to allow federal agencies to attract outstanding graduate students from a wide variety of academic disciplines to public service. Applicants must receive advanced degrees within two years of beginning tenure.

Critical Language Scholarship Program

Critical Language Scholarships support intensive overseas study in the critically needed foreign languages: Arabic, Bangla/Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu. Programs range from 8 weeks to 11 weeks.

Michigan Society of Fellows

The Michigan Society Fellows is a 3-year postdoctoral position. Each Fellow has an appointment as Assistant Professor in an affiliated department of the University and an appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Society of Fellows. The current annual stipend is $52,000.

Master’s Training Grants in Clinical Oncology Social Work

Awarded to institutions to support the training of second year master’s students to provide psychosocial services to persons with cancer and their families. Two-year awards are made for $12,000 (trainee stipend of $10,000 and $2,000 for faculty administrative support).

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program for Young Professionals

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals is a full-year work-study program in Germany. No prior German language required, intended primarily for young adults in business, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields, though applicants from all fields are encouraged to apply.
