Science Policy Fellowship

The Science Policy Fellowship hones scientists by putting them to practice for the benefit of Gulf Coast communities and ecosystems. Fellows gain first hand experience on the staff of federal, state, local, or non-governmental environmental and public health agencies in the Gulf of Mexico region.

Doctoral Student Research Grant

ACSM Foundation Research Grants for doctoral students up to $5,000 for a one-year period.

Raymond and Roslalee Weiss Research Endowment

Wishing to advance research into the health benefits – physical, mental and emotional – of physical activity and sports, the Dr. Raymond A. Weiss Research Endowment has been established for ACSM students studying in this field.

Rosenberry Graduate Fellowship

Provides a $15,000 stipend to support the doctoral research of a graduate student attending a university in North America and whose research contributes to forest and conservation history. Research focus on the historic relationships between humans, forests, and related resources is required.

Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology

The purpose of the FINESST is to provide relevant research and/or technology development project training in disciplines needed to achieve the goals of NASA SMD. FINESST grants are for student-designed research projects that contribute to SMD’s science, technology and exploration goals.

Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program and NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program

The Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (CGS D) and NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (PGS D) provide financial support to scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Travel Award for Scientists from Low and Low-Middle Income Countries

Provides researchers in low-middle-income countries conference travel funding for the ASM Microbe annual meeting.

ASM Microbe Minority Travel Award

This travel award encourages increased participation of underrepresented minority (URM) groups in the ASM Microbe 2019. ASM will select faculty, post-doctoral scholars or graduate students from URM groups in the microbiological sciences or faculty from Minority Serving Institutions.
