Stephen E. Laubach Structural Diagenesis Research Award Fund

SDE Fellowships

SDE fellowships support women holding a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, of outstanding ability and promise in research, who are performing hypothesis-driven research at any institution in the U.S. or abroad. A maximum of $10,000 may be requested.

YALSA: Frances Henne/YALSA/VOYA (Voice of Youth Advocates) Research Grant

Applicants must be personal members of YALSA, including student members, although the research project may be undertaken by an individual, an institution, or by a group.

DOE High-Performance Computer Science Fellowship

This fellowship supports students pursuing degrees in fields of study that use high performance computing to solve science and engineering problems. Fellows represent a broad range of science and engineering disciplines. Support includes a stipend, tuition/fees, and mentoring for up to 4 years.

Katherin F. Gruber Scholarship

This scholarship aims to support spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren of blinded veterans of the US Armed Forces to assist them with their higher education tuition. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, and can be renewed up to four times.

Graduate Student Grants-In-Aid

Awards of up to $5000 for research that is not supported by other grant funds, or to carry out preliminary research to develop fundable thesis projects. The funds can be used for research assistant support, travel, supplies, or other direct research expenses.

Higher Education Research Experiences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for Research Visits

Richard M. Weaver Fellowship

The ISI Richard M. Weaver Fellowship awards a number of fellowships ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to students interested in teaching at the college level.

Selected Professions Fellowships

This fellowship supports women who intend to pursue full-time study at accredited institutions in one of the designated degree programs where women’s participation traditionally has been low. The fellowship is for master’s level degree programs only, and does not support doctoral studies.

Dorothy M. and Earl S. Hoffman Scholarships

To recognize and encourage excellence in continuing graduate studies in the sciences and technologies of interest to the AVS. The nominee must be a registered graduate student in an accredited academic institution at the time when the applications are due.
