Van Courtlandt Elliott Prize

Awarded annually for a first article in the field of medieval studies judged by the selection committee to be of outstanding quality. To be eligible, the author must be resident in North America.

A first article on a medieval topic can be entered in the competition for the Elliott Prize. Articles, published in any journal, must be at least five pages in length and by a single author whose residence is in North America. Three copies of the article should be submitted, together with a statement by the author that it is his or her first article in the medieval field.
