Eligible are Army officers who wish to pursue graduate study in science or engineering in approved civilian institutions on a full-time basis. The officer continues to earn Army salary and the fellowship pays tuition, fees and a book allowance of approximately $600 per year. Paticipants in this program incur an additional service obligation of 3 days of service for each day of educational leave.
