Undergraduate and Graduate Student Design Competitions

The AIAA Foundation sponsors seven design competitions, which offer the opportunity for students to work in teams to solve real-world problems. There are five undergraduate, one graduate, and one open competition. The open contest–the Design/Build/Fly competition sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, Cessna, and the AIAA Foundation–has been riding a wave of ever-increasing participation since its inception. See website for specifics of current design competitions.
