Summer Symposium for Graduate Students in International Affairs

Offers six days of panel discussions on cutting-edge security issues, career development workshops, a crisis simulation and networking opportunities. This program is open to graduate students enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral degree program in International Relations, Political Science, History, Public Policy, Conflict Resolution, Law, Relevant sciences or other fields relating to international affairs, broadly defined. There is a competitive application process through which participants are selected. Approximately thirty U.S. and international students are selected to participate each year. Participants are housed at Georgetown University. WIIS covers the costs for accommodation, most meals, and the program itself. There is a registration fee of $125 for accepted participants, and limited fellowships are available for travel.
