Student Travel Awards

Students presenting a contributed paper as a first or sole author during the AES meetings are invited to apply for financial assistance to attend the meeting. All applicants MUST be members in good standing of AES and be in at least their second year of AES membership. The maximum award will typically not exceed $500. Students are only eligible for travel assistance once per degree. Assistance will be need-based (when funds are limiting and the society is not able to fund all applicants). In these instances priority will be given to students with full research results to present rather than preliminary analyses.

Application package requirements:

1. A completed application form

2. Itemized budget showing how the funds will be spent

3. An abstract of the paper or poster to be presented.

4. A letter indicating how the support will be used and why it is needed. An indication of other funding that has been applied for or secured should be included in this letter.
