SHPE/GEM Graduate Award

The Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS) and The National GEM Consortium have established a competitive, graduate award for outstanding, SHPE, graduate students, who are pursuing a technical and advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

Two awards are presented as a competitive $5,000 fellowship1. One award is presented to a doctoral student to assist with their dissertation research. One award is presented to a masters student in recognition of their academic excellence.

The awards are presented at the SHPE Conference, which will be held November 12-15, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona. The fellowship will provide the recipient with two (2) complementary conference registrations, which includes four (4) hotel nights and one (1) Gala guest ticket.
