Ruth Shonle Cavan Young Scholar Award

The Ruth Shonle Cavan Young Scholar Award is given to recognize outstanding scholarly contributions to the discipline of criminology by someone who has received the Ph.D., MD, LL.D. or a similar graduate degree no more than five years before the year of the award. The Award may be for a single work or a series of contributions, and may include co-authored works. The person selected for the Award will receive a plaque commemorating the Award, $1,000, and up to $500 towards their airfare to travel to the ASC Annual Meetings.
