Research Training Fellowships

Short term fellowships amounting to BP 5,000, and one Charles de Selincourt Fellowship to the value of BP 8,000, are available to fund training in new techniques or for pilot projects. The aim of these fellowships are to allow research workers to visit and work in other specialist laboratories or research teams for short periods to acquire new technical skills which can be applied in their own work, to apply new methods of data analysis, to establish collaborative research not possible by other means or to undertake pilot studies in support of a more detailed application. The work must have relevance to sudden infant death. Meeting attendance does not fall within the scope of these fellowships. A training fellowship typically lasts from six weeks to six months.
