Research Grants

One of the objectives of The Konosuke Matsushita Memorial Foundation is to contribute to the development of world culture and peace by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other countries. In line with this goal, the foundation provides funds to research activities in the areas of humanities and social sciences which pertain to establishing international relationships based on global perspectives, solving various issues existing between Japan and other countries, or proposing various measures to promote mutual understanding.

The funds are provided to assist original and challenging international research which meets social as well as academic demands in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The foundation takes applications from students of doctoral courses and researchers within five years after finishing doctoral course, and reviews them in the screening committee once a year.

Application deadline is commonly in May. Visit funder website for more information.
