Ph.D. Dissertation Awards

Each year, UCOWR recognizes two outstanding Ph.D. dissertations on water issues, one in each of the following categories: (1) Water Policy and Socio-Economics, and (2) Natural Science and Engineering. The award consists of a certificate and a $750 check, reimbursement up to $1,000 for travel expenses to the UCOWR annual meeting, and registration fee waiver to attend the annual UCOWR meeting. Recipients will be integrated into appropriate sessions of the Conference Technical Program where they will make presentations on their dissertations.

Member universities can submit one application in each category through their UCOWR delegate. Check with funder for more details.
