The National Endowment for the Humanities, which funds long-term (four to twelve months) postdoctoral fellowships at AAS, has established the guidelines for applicants. NEH fellowships are for persons who have already completed their formal professional training. Degree candidates and persons seeking support for work in pursuit of a degree are not eligible to hold AAS-NEH fellowships.
