National Asia Research Associates and Fellows

NBR and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars are partnering to launch a major national research and conference program. The program will select a premier group of National Asia Research Associates and Fellows, nominated by U.S. research organizations and higher learning institutions with top programs on Asia, to carry out two year terms at their own institutions. The heads of all institutions of higher learning and research organizations in the United States are invited to nominate outstanding scholars from their faculty and staff who are currently engaged in research on one or more of the NARP research agenda issues for consideration as Research Associates and Fellows.

During the time of their appointment Associates and Fellows will remain at their home institutions and receive a research stipend to support their work through the NARP.

Faculty and research staff at the professor and associate professor level at institutions of higher learning and research organizations in the United States who are currently engaged in research on one or more of the NARP research agenda issues are eligible to become National Asia Research Associates.

Faculty and research staff at the assistant professor level at institutions of higher learning and research organizations in the United States who are currently engaged in research on one or more of the NARP research agenda issues are eligible to become National Asia Research Fellows.

Candidates must be nominated by the head of their institution in accordance with the nomination instructions.
