McDowell/Nelson Combined Scholarship

This program provides financial assistance to engineering students interested in preparing for a career involving the use of explosives. Recipients of renewable scholarships are expected to reapply by May 1st of each year by submitting a letter of intent in the spring stating that they expect to continue their studies in the next academic year. Attach a currenty copy of the student’s official transcript.

All funds will be sent directly to the education institution. Failure to use any scholarship in the year for which it was intended will result in forfeiture. Upon acceptance, students will be required to sign an agreement that the student will complete the education for which the scholarship applies or return the funds.
