Long-Term Fellowships

Long term fellowships for periods of 5-10 months are reserved for postdoctoral scholars. The InterAmericas Fellowship supports research on the history of the British West Indies and the Caribbean Basin. The R. David Parsons Fellowship supports the study of the history of exploration and discovery.

Recipients are expected to relocate to Providence. Those within commuting distance of the libarary are not eligible. Applications are reviewed by independent academic committees, and awards made based on scholarly qualifications and merits of the project.
