The Postdoctoral Research Program provides recent M.D. or Ph.D. recipients an opportunity to participate in collaborative research in a variety of areas of biomedical informatics. Participants interact with leading informatics researchers, have access to on-site resources and facilities, become familiar with the leading research, gain a comprehensive understanding of the Centers programs, and make significant professional contributions to their fields.
Appointments are for one year and are renewable for an additional year upon recommendation of the Center and availability of funds. Recipients receive a stipend which varies depending on degree, research area and experience. ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have received an M.D. or Ph.D. from an accredited academic institution in an appropriate discipline or expect to complete all such requirements before beginning the appointment. The Medical Informatics Training Program is an equal opportunity program.
Program participants will be selected based on their research accomplishments, scientific background and experience, the ability to match an applicant’s abilities and background with research programs at the Lister Hill Center, letters of recommendation, awards and honors, and the availability of funds, programs, staff and facilities.
