Junior Scientists Development Visit Grants

This grant provides opportunities for short-term (maximum of six months) practical training of junior scientists. A junior scientist is someone who has earned a Ph.D. within the last 10 years. (U.S. applicants may also have a Master’s degree or currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program). The maximum grant award is $15,000 (U.S. dollars). Researchers representing the private sector and American and Egyptian institutions, such as Universities and Government research centers, may apply. Applicants must be within 10 years of receiving the PhD, or may have already received a Masters or be currently enrolled in a PhD program. Eligible fields include Agriculture, ICT, Pharmaceutical and chemistry, Engineering, Medical Sciences, Humanities, Materials, and Basic sciences.
