Josiah Macy, Jr. Substance Abuse Fellowship Program

fellowship program that will prepare minority medical students to address relevant issues pertaining to substance

abuse research and treatment. The primary goals are to promote an educational model for future physicians and other health care

practitioners, to foster minority physician leadership in substance abuse research, treatment, health policy, and education. The

fellowship experience will contribute to the students? understanding of the independent relationships of substance abuse, health

care, economics, and other social and political institutions.
