Harvard-Yenching Library Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Book Culture and Librarianship

Priority will be given to those candidates who in their earlier research have shown a clear affinity to print culture and/or library studies and who consider pursuing a career with a research library in the field of East Asian studies. On-the-job training for one day a week (or more) at the Harvard-Yenching Library (the specific content of which will be determined in consultation with the fellow) is part of the fellowship. Priority will further be given to those candidates who have had no previous postdoctoral fellowships.

Candidates must be able to provide evidence of successful completion of their PhD degree by the end of June of the application year, and may not be more than five years beyond receipt of the PhD. Applicants who are not native speakers of English must include with their application the date and score of their most recent TOEFL examination and other evidence of proficiency in English (such as a letter from an academic advisor).
