Harvard Postdoctoral Fellowships in Japanese Studies support recent PhDs of exceptional promise while they revise their dissertations for publication. Applicants must have received the PhD degree within five years of application, in Japanese studies in any area of the humanities or social sciences. Those who are chosen to receive fellowships must have completed all requirements for the PhD degree by July 1 of the application year. ($50,000 stipend, health insurance for grantee, research/travel funds, and support for workshops.)
