General Motors Engineering Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student or graduate student at an accredited college or university. Must submit an essay:

a. Explaining knowledge of or lived experiences with American Indian tribal culture.

b. A comprehensive clear discussion of specific interest in engineering.

c. How will applicant contribute his or her knowledge or professional experience to a Native American

community?

Must be a member of an American Indian tribe or otherwise considered to be an American Indian by the tribe with which affiliation is claimed; or is at least 1/4 American Indian blood; or is at least 1/4 Alaskan Native; or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group to which affiliation is claimed.

Eligible applicants are required to complete an online inventory of skills that is administered by General Motors via the Internet. Must be a member of AISES.
