Folger Institute Programs

Folger Institute programs are conducted as gatherings of mature scholars oriented toward common goals rather than as formal graduate courses, and a hallmark of Institute seminars is the bringing together of junior and senior scholars, from advanced graduate students to tenured faculty. Unless otherwise specified, enrollment in all Folger Institute programs is by application, with priority in admission accorded to postdoctoral scholars and advanced graduate students from the consortium universities. Registration fees are waived for consortium affiliates (with the exception of conferences). [Rutgers is a Consortium member] The application review committee considers all applications received by the appropriate deadline. Consortium grants, available to faculty members and graduate students from Institute-affiliated universities, are offered to reimburse travel and some lodging expenses in support of participation in Institute programs.

Deadlines are specific to each upcoming topic and program, but often fall in June and January for grants-in-aid of Fall and Spring programs. Visit funder website for more information.
