Fight For Sight Research Grants

The goal of the Fight For Sight program is to restore and preserve sight through research in detection, prevention, treatment and curing of visual disorders, as well as diseases leading to impaired sight and partial or total blindness.

Funding priority is given to pilot projects for research relating to clinically important eye diseases. FFS will continue to support younger investigators, promoting the development of scientific skills that will lead to more substantial funding from other sources.

The FFS Scientific Review Committee will give preference to clinical and disease-oriented grants and training fellowships in the areas of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, amblyopia, strabismus, AIDS-related eye disorders, cataract, and uveal and corneal inflammation
