IMP Fellows are given the opportunity to conduct innovative and independent research in any area of the molecular life sciences. IMP Fellows will receive an attractive salary, full set up and running costs, opportunity to train undergraduate students, and unrestricted access to the research services at the IMP and IMBA, including biooptics, mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, DNA sequencing, media kitchen, and animal facilities. IMP Fellows may select one or more mentors from the IMP and IMBA faculty, but will conduct and publish their research independently.
Applicants must have obtained their PhD not more than 18 months prior to the application date. IMP Fellowships are offered for 5 years, with possible promotion to a group leader position at the latest by the end of the fourth year.
