East European Studies Travel Grants

Grants will be made to support travel for presentation of papers at scholarly conferences taking place before the time specified by the funder ($1,000 for travel within North America; $2,500 for intercontinental travel). The purpose of these grants is to build the Eastern European (EE) field and to encourage comparative study that includes Eastern European studies.

Topics of papers must be related to Eastern Europe, but applications are welcome from EE specialists proposing to attend conferences whose general theme lies outside Eastern Europe as well as from scholars whose area expertise lies outside EE who propose to attend an EE-focused event.
