DR. RICHARD M. HUNT FELLOWSHIP FOR THE STUDY OF GERMAN POLITICS, SOCIETY, AND CULTURE

The Dr. Richard M. Hunt Fellowship award covers the costs of pre-approved international and domestic travel and a per diem of $150 for up to 28 days in Germany. The fellowship program aims to- but is not limited to- serve postgraduate students in relatively early stages of their careers (including individuals enrolled in Ph.D. programs who are finishing their dissertation). Applicants should demonstrate an interest in German political, social, and cultural affairs; however, no prior experience in Germany is required. While helpful, knowledge of the German language is not a prerequisite.

Fellows are selected through a competitive application process based on the following criteria: the contribution the project will make to a better understanding of German history (and more specifically, the political, social, and cultural components); the feasibility of the proposed project; the training of the applicant; and the scholarly potential of the applicant. Check with funder for current due date.
