The applicant must have membership in an American Baptist church for at least one year prior to applying for assistance and have completed at least one year of Ph.D. studies. D.Min. students are not eligible. Doctoral Study Grants are available for students intending to teach at the college or seminary level in a field of study directly related to the preparation of American Baptist ministerial leaders.
