CREST Scholars

Students conducting research projects supporting the mission of CREST under the direction of LUMCON faculty and collaborators. Recipients of the awards will be known as CREST Scholars. CREST-funded research focuses on projects that have direct application to the development of practical, cost-effective approaches to restoration project design, implementation and monitoring. Areas of emphasis include: 1) Assessing the performance of planned and existing restoration efforts and their cumulative effects on coastal systems; 2) Human dimensions of coastal restoration efforts; 3) Proactive assessments of emerging threats to coastal habitats.
