Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture Postdoctoral Fellowship

The goal of the fellowship is to support the work of an outstanding scholar whose research focuses on the study of race or ethnicity by allowing the fellow to devote his or her energies to the further development of their research agenda. The fellowship carries a stipend of $45,000, a travel and research budget of $2,500, and up to $2,500 for moving expenses. The fellow will be provided with office space and a computer at the Center, full access to University libraries and other facilities, and participation in a University medical-benefit plan. Awardees will be expected to be in full-time residence during the academic year beginning September 25, 2006; teach a 10-week undergraduate course related to race and/or ethnicity (one quarter); present his or her work at one of the Reproduction of Race and Racial Ideologies Workshop meetings; and actively participate in the workshop and other activities sponsored by the Race Center. Eligibility:Applicants for the 2006-2007 academic year are required to have a Ph.D. and must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States at the time of application.
