ACR REF/Abbott Health Professional Graduate Student Research Preceptorship

The ACR REF Health Professional Graduate Student Research Preceptorship introduces students to rheumatology-related health care by supporting full-time research by a graduate student in the broad area of rheumatic diseases. Eligibility: Only students enrolled in graduate school are eligible. Preceptors are responsible for selecting student applicants and must be members of the ARHP. This is a one year award. Students participate in an eight-week program. Students will receive a $3,500 scholarship. Mentors will receive a $1,500 stipend and $1,000 to cover related laboratory expenses. Students also are eligible to receive up to $1,000 in travel funds to attend the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting. Application deadline is February 2007.
