ACNP/Pfizer Minority Summer Fellow Program

The grant is made available to promote and enhance the interest of minority graduate students and residents in careers in psychopharmacology and the neurosciences. This grant provides enough support to allow one student to carry out a research project for six to eight weeks in the summer. This project will be completed in the laboratory of the Immediate Past President of the ACNP, or another research lab as designated by the Immediate Past President. The total grant is $15,000, which is distributed to cover room/board, transportation to/from the laboratory site, and travel expenses for attendance at the ACNP Annual Meeting. How the funds are distributed to each student is negotiable and depends in part on the Fellow?s projected costs for living expenses and travel. The Fellow must attend the ACNP Annual Meeting and must present a poster covering the summer project the year the award is given.
