Abba P. Schwartz Research Fellowship

This fellowship is administered by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation from funds provided by the family, friends, and colleagues of Abba Schwartz. Mr. Schwartz served in the Kennedy Administration as Assistant Secretary of State for Security and Consular Affairs.

The Schwartz Fellowship carries a stipend of up to $3,100. It is intended to support a scholar in the production of a substantial work in the areas of immigration, naturalization, or refugee policy. These were subjects of particular personal and professional interest to Mr. Schwartz. The successful candidate will develop at least a portion of her or his work from original research in archival materials from the collections of the Kennedy Library.
