GradFund Mentoring Program – Fulbright US Student Program – Spring 2023

Program Description

We are pleased to invite applications to the GradFund Mentoring Program – Fulbright US Student Program – Spring 2023. This 4-week (March 30-April 20) online mentoring program will consist of a weekly webinar and a one-on-one virtual advising appointment scheduled by individual participants. The timing of the program will coincide with the opening of the 2024-2025 application cycle, and the goal is to have participants ready to prepare and submit competitive Fulbright U.S. Student Program applications during the Fall 2023 deadline.

Applying for and securing external funding to support your graduate study is important to your scholarly professional development. Fellowships such as the one offered by the Fulbright US Student Program will bring important recognition and resources to your work and give you valuable experience working and researching internationally. To write a competitive external funding application, it is critical to get started well in advance of the deadline and to dedicate adequate time to the proposal development process.

As a participant in the GradFund Mentoring Program – Fulbright US Student Program – Spring 2023, you will work with a dedicated Fellowship Advising Team to guide you in preparing for this prestigious and competitive application. You will also have an opportunity to be in dialogue with fellow participants as you work toward shared goals and mutually benefit from the support and accountability of a structured mentoring program.

The program is open to current Rutgers graduate students (Doctoral or Masters) who are considering applying for the Fulbright IIE award in the Fall 2023 application cycle. We welcome applicants interested in any Fulbright country, and any stream (research, English teaching, or other). Videos of the sessions will also be posted for participants of the mentoring program to revisit as needed as they apply!

The deadline to apply to participate is March 23, 2023. Applications can be submitted through the SGS Submittable Platform.
