The Fulbright US Student Program is an important opportunity for graduate students who would like to spend an academic year abroad for research or study. The program is open to US citizens who have not yet earned their terminal degree. A major program goal is to provide an experience that supports mutual exchange. Graduate students can apply for a Fulbright to support projects related to graduate research, an artistic project, teaching English as a second language or earning an advanced degree abroad. Applications can be initiated in the Fulbright Online Application here.
Our internal deadline for applicants is September 8, 2022.
Students who plan to apply are strongly encouraged to schedule a GradFund appointment for assistance, which can be booked through our WCOnline site here.
We offer additional guidance on how to develop a competitive Fulbright application in our GradFund Self-Paced Guide to Fellowships and Grants on Canvas. Students can self-enroll in the Cavas site through this link: https://rutgers.instructure.com/enroll/6T9G48
The IIE offers applicants several useful webinars and information sessions to support application development. Details on the IIE offerings are available here.
