Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History Travel Grant

This award provides up to $1,000 to subsidize travel-related expenses incurred to conduct research at the Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History at the University of San Francisco. Priority is given to researchers who plan to stay at least a week.

Fellowship Research Grant

The goals of this fellowship is to support graduate students in New Jersey who will receive training and perform research that has the potential to improve the treatment of brain injuries

PhD Fellowship Program

This two-year fellowship supports PhD students at participating universities enrolled in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics, or a department within the scope of these areas. Students must be in their second or third year and need to be nominated by their department chair.

Newberry Library – American Musicological Society (AMS) Fellowship

This fellowship for PhD candidates or postdoctoral scholars supports one month’s work in residence at the Newberry. Preference will be given to a scholar working in music or musicology. Applicants must be members of the AMS at the time of application and through the period of the fellowship.

Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for Research on Women and Politics

This is an annual competition designed to encourage and reward scholars embarking on significant research in the area of women and politics. Scholars at any level, from graduate students to tenured faculty members, may apply.

Mark Pinson Grant for Graduate Research on the Ottaman Balkans

This award provides up to $2,000 to support graduate student research on the Ottoman Balkans. The award can be used to finance a field work trip or to access research materials like manuscripts or books.

Venetian Research Program

The Foundation awards travel grants to individual scholars to support historical research on Venice and the former Venetian empire, and for the study of contemporary Venetian society and culture. Disciplines of the humanities and social sciences are eligible areas of study.

Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant – Methodology, Measurement, and Statistics

The Methodology, Measurement, and Statistics (MMS) Program is an interdisciplinary program in the Directorate for Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences that supports the development of innovative, analytical, and statistical methods and models for those sciences.

IHR Doctoral Fellowships

The Fellowships are intended as writing-up awards. They will be awarded to doctoral students who are engaged in the completion of a doctorate in history (broadly defined).

Doctoral Dissertation Grant Program

Fahs-Beck grants support the dissertation expenses of students whose studies can contribute to knowledge about problems in the functioning or well being of children, adults, couples, families or communities, or about interventions that could prevent such problems. The award amount is $5,000.
