Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship for Minority Graduate Study in Musicology

One $20,000 fellowship is available for applicants. This program goal is to increase the presence of minority scholars and teachers in musicology. The fellowship supports one year of graduate work for a student at a North American university who is a member of an historically underrepresented group.

Boren Fellowships

This fellowship supports U.S. graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad. Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded. Fellows must agree to the NSEP Service Requirement.

William V. Sliter Research Award

The award supports graduate student research on Mesozoic and Cenozoic foraminifera. ***Visit website for contact information to send application materials.***

Graduate Student Travel Award

For conference travel: These grants are to assist graduate students presenting papers at the AIA Annual Meeting with their travel expenses. Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship

The APF Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship supports graduate-level scholarly projects that use a psychological perspective to help understand and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.

Robert N. Colwell Memorial Fellowship

This award commends graduate students at the PhD level who display exceptional interest, desire, ability, and aptitude in the field of remote sensing or other related geospatial information technologies, and who have a special interest in developing practical uses of these technologies.

Henry Belin du Pont Research Grants

Research grants are awarded for the length of time needed to make use of Hagley collections for a specific project. The stipends are for a maximum of eight weeks and are pro-rated at $400/week for recipients who reside more than 50 miles from Hagley, and $200/week for those within 50 miles.

Early Career Grants

Young Explorers Grants (YEG) offer opportunities to individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 to pursue research, conservation and exploration-related projects.

APF Graduate Student Scholarships

The American Psychological Foundation (APF) and the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (COGDOP) are jointly offering graduate research scholarships, up to $5,000. Applicants must be nominated by their department, which can nominate up to 3 students each year, based on department size.
