Newkirk Graduate Research Fellowship

Multiyear fellowship support for graduate students doing solar and atmospheric research requiring the use of the National High Altitude Observatory in Boulder, CO.

Neuroscience Scholars Program

The Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP) supports annual travel awards, mentoring, and the professional development of up to 15 candidates known as NSP Fellows. The It is a two-year training program open to underrepresented and diverse neuroscience graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

Robert J. and Ruth A. Weimer Student Research Grant

This grant funds research in sedimentary geology. It provides a $500 stipend for research expenses.

Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program

The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program provides support for independent graduate-level studies in oceanography, marine biology or maritime archaeology (including all science, engineering, and resource management of ocean and coastal areas), particularly to women and minorities.

Andrew W. Mellon Fellowships in Conservation

Vladimir & Pearl Heifetz Memorial Fellowship

The Vladimir and Pearl Heifetz Memorial Fellowship supports undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate research in Eastern European Jewish literature. The fellowship supports two to three months of research at the YIVO library.

Exploratory Research Grant

These grants support one-week visits by scholars who believe that their project will benefit from Hagley research collections. The stipend is $400 and low-cost accommodations on Hagley’s grounds are available on first-come, first serve basis.

Maria Salit-Gitelson Tell Memorial Fellowship

The Maria Salit-Gitelson Tell Memorial Fellowship supports original doctoral or post-doctoral research in the field of Lithuanian Jewish history, the city of Vilnius in particular. This fellowship, which carries a stipend of $1,500, is for one to three months of research at the YIVO Library and Archives and a public lecture by the holder.
