The fellowship program invites roughly twenty scholars each year to conduct research on a specific theme within the various fields of Judaic studies. During the course of the year the fellows work on their individual projects. Fellowships granted may be for one semester or the full academic year.
A fellowship of up to $5,000 to support research and ongoing collaboration with Center nurse historians. Selection of Alice Fisher Society scholars will be based on evidence of interest in, and aptitude for, historical research related to nursing.
MCEAS Barra Dissertation Fellowships are open to candidates from any discipline working on any relevant topic for nine-month stays in residence at the McNeil Center.
These awards are designed to provide mentorship and access to Penn’s resources for doctoral students in the humanities or social sciences, enrolled in graduate or professional programs at universities other than Penn, as they complete their dissertations.
