Short-term Fellowships

Short-term fellowships of $2,000/month are awarded for 1-4 months to doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars working on Jefferson-related projects. Fellows are expected to be in residence at the Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies.

Gilder Lehrman Junior Research Fellowships

These fellowships are are open to scholars working on Jefferson projects. Fellows will devote their time to research and writing on topics directly related to Thomas Jefferson, his times, and legacy.
