Student Research Internships in Toxicology
SOT serves as a clearinghouse for toxicology internship opportunities. Sponsors submit information about their internship positions to SOT by December 1. Colgate-Palmolive Post-Doctoral Award in In Vitro Toxicology
The Colgate-Palmolive Postdoctoral Fellowship Award through SOT is given to advance the development of alternatives to animal testing in toxicological research. The award (up to $44,000) is given annually and preference given to applicants in their first year of postdoctoral study.
Specialty Section (SS) Student Awards
Specialty Section awards are available in various subjects: Food safety, In vitro, Inhalation, Carcinogenesis, Biological Modeling, Comparative and Veterinary, Mechanisms, Metals, Dermal Toxicology, Molecular Biology, and Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues. Award amount varies.
Midwest RC Young Investigator Award
The student winner will present a poster at the meeting and receives $1500 to be applied towards proposed research project. Winner Receives: $1500 (to be applied towards their proposed research project) and prepares a poster for the Spring 2007 meeting.
Hispanic Organization for Toxicologists SIG Student Travel Award
The Hispanic Organization for Toxicologists provide travel awards to Hispanic students working in the area of toxicology research. The award is offered to help with the associated costs of presenting their research at the SOT Annual Meeting. Preference given to first time applicants.
Syngenta Fellowship Award in Human Health Applications of New Technologies
Funding is to support mode-of-action research aimed at characterizing dose-dependent effects of xenobiotics on mammalian systems in such a way that the causal sequence of key events underlying toxicity is elucidated. Additional travel support to attend the SOT annual meeting is provided.
